“Growing up amid difficult circumstances and gang activity in his neighborhood, Ti’Andre had few places to turn after school. Without After-School All-Stars, he believes he could have joined a gang simply to belong. Instead, SFASAS provided mentors, support to bridge academic gaps, and a positive community that helped him find a path forward. Nearly 20 years later, Ti’Andre has fulfilled his dream of a career in law enforcement and built a beautiful family—a powerful example of how the right support can change a young person’s life.”

Riane
Riane Cato joined After-School All-Stars as a middle school student, where tutoring and mentorship helped her succeed academically, build confidence, and discover new interests. Now an 11th grader at Miami Jackson Senior High School, Riane has gone from receiving support to giving it—mentoring younger students, coaching volleyball, and leading by example. “After-School All-Stars helped me come out of my shell, improve my communication skills, and feel more confident. Now, in high school, I help mentor others.”
