South Florida After-School All-Stars Third Annual Big Top Charity Golf Tournament on June 14th, 2024
South Florida After-School All-Stars provides comprehensive afterschool programs that keep students safe and helps them succeed in school and in life. Since 1995, SFASAS has provided high quality programs for middle school and high school students via a collaboratively designed, community driven initiative in partnership with Title I schools and school districts in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Our first two tournaments raised nearly $90,000 with this year’s goal being $100,000. Being held at the beautiful Miami Lakes Golf Club, this Club is known as one of Miami’s best Championship Golf Courses, offering golfers of all skill levels an enjoyable day on the course. Originally designed by Bill Watts in 1962 and later updated in 1998 by nationally recognized Golf Course Architect Kipp Schulties, Miami Lakes Golf Club is the perfect destination for great golf. With over 500 tree-shaded acres, this semi-private golf club has been offering a challenging 18 holes, Par 72 championship course to golfers from all over the world for the last 60 years.
Registration for this event will begin at 11:00AM
Driving Range will open at 12:00 Noon
Shotgun Start: 1pm
Awards & Reception: 5pm or immediately following
Conveniently located between Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale Airport, Miami Lakes Golf Club serves as a must play course for anyone visiting the South Florida area. The Golf Club offers a driving range and practice areas along with a Golf Pro Shop and The Bull Pen (19th Hole).
All proceeds of the event will go towards South Florida After-School All-Stars mission and programs, expanding our commitment of individuals and families living in South Florida.
This event, our second of it’s kind, is sure to have prominent philanthropists, lawyer’s, business execs, healthcare owners and workers, and others within our community in attendance, each with a strong commitment to help us reach our fundraising goal of $100,000. As a strong advocate for children, we thank you for supporting us and the over 5,000 students we serve annually, currently located within 46 schools - 98% of those served are youth of color with 88% qualifying for free or reduced lunch.
