Our Executive Director Speaks on Youth Mental Health at Miami Community Panel

Earlier this week, Sean Prospect, Executive Director of After-School All-Stars South Florida, was honored to speak on a powerful panel in Miami hosted by the Coalition to Empower Our Future.

This newly formed coalition brings together leaders, organizations, and community stakeholders in a coordinated and urgent effort to address one of the most critical challenges facing today’s youth: mental health. The discussion focused on collaboration, prevention, and real solutions that support young people where they are.

During the panel, Sean shared the After-School All-Stars perspective, emphasizing the importance of wraparound support, trusted mentoring relationships, enrichment opportunities, and safe after-school environments. These proven supports play a vital role in helping students navigate stress, build resilience, and develop the confidence needed to succeed.

We are proud to stand alongside partners who share our commitment to youth well-being. Together, we are working to ensure every child in our community has the support they need—not just to get by, but to truly thrive.
