FOX Sports’ Eric Esteban Elected to After-School All-Stars South Florida Board of Directors
MIAMI (August 27, 2015)– After-School All-Stars South Florida has announced that Eric Esteban, FOX Sports Florida Director of Media Relations, has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. As a member of the board, Esteban will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to After-School All-Stars in the coming year. Esteban brings his extensive media and sports expertise, which will help ASAS develop unique programs that will expose middle school students to sports through broadcasting, live events and activities.
Esteban has been a true champion of the ASAS mission: he’s provided strategic leadership to the chapter, led his colleagues by example as a Camp Hoop Heroes volunteer, managed in-kind and programmatic support, and organized countless opportunities for students to meet FOX talent and affiliate teams at career exploration field trips with the Miami HEAT and Miami Marlins. In 2014, his many contributions to the organization were recognized at the Stars for Life Benefit.
“I’m excited to be joining the Board of Directors,” Esteban said. “The opportunity to collaborate and provide leadership that impacts over 2,000 local students is tremendous. I look forward to helping ensure the continued success of an organization I’ve been passionate about since I first started partnering with ASAS in 2011.”
“Eric is going to be an incredible addition to the board, and I’m looking forward to working even more closely with him and Fox Sports,” said Ben Gilbert, Jr., Chairman of the South Florida Board of Directors.
The FOX Sports Networks support After-School All-Stars both nationally and in many local markets across the country, including Atlanta, Ohio, Orlando and South Florida. FOX Sports has been a national partner of After-School All-Stars since 2010 and locally in South Florida since 2011.
